Green grass!

YEAH the green grass world is alive and well again in Michigan! thank god. In the deep dark days of winter-I knew the spring would come again but it really did seem like an impossible dream only a few weeks ago.

Here we are now in full spring bloom. the leaves are out and the bees are buzzing and we are loving our backyard again.

We have had a magical bunch of weeks and weekends in May. The rain has stayed away and we've had sun and great weather. We have visited with friends and family, had brunches and graduations and much fun play with Finley's little friends. How funny it is to see him playing and running around and thrilled to have FRIENDS of his own.

We went to Nashville to visit the Davis family and then on to Illinois to visit our Coverdill relatives their. Nashville was a shining star of hope and city bustle. it seem to be relatively unscathed by the economic downturn that has grasped the rest of the US. the gas prices were not so good during our road trip but we managed. Finley was a great hotel-sleeper and car-rider even tho the portable DVD player was a bit flakey.

Fin had so much fun playing with Shannon & Billy's kids-Harmony & Fin ganged up on Dorsey sometimes but overall they played really well together. Harmony taught Fin how to jump in & out of his playpen (great:)). the kids made us laugh so much. We parents had so much fun "playing" together too. We had many delicious home cooked meals (thanks Shan) and lots of stimulating conversation.

The family visit in Champaign was really memorable and a blessing to see Bill's Gma. PapaBob & GrmaJoy, aunt Amy, Aunt Sudi, Unc Jim, Cous Drew & Emma, aunt C & unc B were all there and we got to see Bob & Celeste's new house on the moving day-we tried to stay out of the way and at the end of the day we had a pizza dinner to bless the new abode. Fin got to play with some legos and was a happy guy to run around the house (empty of most furniture) and giggle for Gma and the relative.

it was great trip and we felt so good when we got home. Fin & I stayed home last tuesday to recuperate form the drive and do some plant shopping for the yard.

This weekend Finley got to play with Landon at the soccer field during Logans' game. I was at my friends baby shower but from all accounts. the toddlers had a blast trying to out-do eachother in daring feats on the slide & play structures and they ran util they dropped!

This week we will be going to Leah's to visit the triplets and help with some feeding and nap time at the Huber's. Finley will join me this week during the visit. Aunt Leah has not gotten to see Fin in a while b/c the triplets have bee so fragile but now the babies are getting bigger and it is time for them to meet their crazy cousin Fin BIlly!!! whoohooo.
