Holidays 2007

We had wonderful great holidays this year.

it started with Thanksgiving. K&K visted. we picked them up from the aiport and brouight them to our place in ypsi. we had donuts and coffee and watched Finley jump on the couch.

then we went ot my parents for T-giving dinner. it was crowded but wonderful and warm and cozy. leah was there even thought her "bedrest" had officially started. we all hot-tubbed together and watched the snow fall. it was cold this year so we ate inside (last year was 65 and we ate in the yard!).

Shannon, Billy, and Harmony Davis and Manda and Tom came over for an evenign of fun and friends. We talked and listened to music and shared band stories and got to know eahcother all over again. it really was a great time. Finely and Harmony played so cute together. they are just afew months apart in age and Fin really seemed happy to have a friend over to show his toys to and to show off his fish. Harmony taight Fin how to climb onto the "big" chair in his room and so we had to rearrange the furniture after they left so that the chair was not right next to his crib. we laughed b/c we knew it was only a matterof time befopre he figured it out himself.

then on sunday, I headed off to Boston for the MRS conference. I was only there for 3 dasy and of course it was sooo hard to be away from Bill 7 Fin. it was painful. the hotel was really nice tho so I wish that my boys had been with me to enjoy the pool and little luxuries.

thehn on dec 8th, the Robnerts fanmily Xmas party happened and thi swas a really fun day. lots of great gifts were given and great food and we had such a nice time with my fam.

then we went off to Denver for a few days and stayed at uncle ron & aunt B's while Bill daddy did some work.

then before we knew it,it was already dec 21st and we headed to the Burns for Xmas and then to the Hubers for another Xmas on the 24th then the next day we packed up the car and drove like mad all the way to florida! actually we stopped in Georgia for a nite to rest and drove all day the next day too (very boring, very long and Finley got annoyed but b/c he had the CARS movie, he survived the long road trip).

The we arrived in flrida to the beautiful house my parenbts rented for us. it is right on the water with a great sunriose AND sunset view. we are so lucky. the weather was perfect EVERYDAY!! I am not kidding. no rain and 80 degrees every single day. we could not have had it better,. Finely LOVED the beach and the kiddie pool and the warm air and the running around and playing with his uncle Kurt and dancing naked in the living room (nice tile floors that a little pee can't hurt). and there was great food every night and fun during the day. we did lots of sunscreen so no one got sunburnt. lots of evening stroller rides and visits to great gpa's house and our cousins house. overall it was PERFECT.

i did not check my email a single time for 2 weeks. it was very liberating and I felt truly relaxed. unfortunately the ride home from florida was less than nice. it was very cold on the 2nd day (below 15 degrees) and Fin was really sick of being in the car and his carseat so he freaked out every hour or so. we tried stoppign but he was bad at the restaurants too b/che wanted to run around but it was too cold out. we finally made it home but vowed to fly next year!

then the first week back to school and work were hard on all of us. fin ahd gotten used to having alot fo family around and playing with his mom and aunts and uncles in the morning. so he was not happy to go to school. but we made it thru the fiorst week back and then things were back to normal. we were all sad for vaca to send but I guess that is a good thing b/c it gives us all something to look forward to next yuear.
